5-day Signature Workshop with Stuart Batty – February 2017

Our first ever Stuart Batty Signature Class held a few weeks ago was a big success.  Stuart did an excellent job of teaching students his proven production turning techniques with an emphasis on tool use and sharpening.  Students were able to practice what they learned on a series of practice pieces throughout the week so as to commit the techniques to muscle memory.

Before the week was over, students turned a Winged Bowl, which is a difficult project on a good day.  The Winged Bowl project was the perfect opportunity to students to execute the many techniques taught by Stuart throughout the week.

Special thanks to Stuart and his assistants Ron Measom, Wayne Davies and Michael Nish for making the week a success!
